    Ben Whishaw to play lead in Freddie Mercury biopic

    Ben Whishaw, known for his role of Q in James Bond flick Skyfall, will now be seen as a renowned British musician, lyricist and vocalist late Freddie Mercury. The33-year-old has beensigned to take on a project of Freddie Mercurybiopic and will be heading arock band Queen in the film, just like Freddie. Taylor remarked that his band prefers the actor with initials BW.

    The movie will be produced by band members guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and John Deacon. May announced about the biopic, "We're very protective [of Freddie] and we're known for not hiding away from the truth. There's not going to be any pretense about this. It's going to be something very true – as true as we can make it – but also respectful to Freddie as a performer and as a man."

    Whishaw is the first name finalised for the same and no one else has been featured yet. The title is still to be decided as the movie is in development phase. Ben has currently been busy with ongoing ventures The Zero Theorem, Unity, Teenage, Days and Nights and In the Heart of the Sea.
