    There is good news for the fans of 'Prince of Persia' and 'Sherlock Holmes'. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jake Gyllenhaal have been approached to star in a Studiocanal financed feature, 'Rio'. The project is being helmed by Luca Guadagnino who will direct from a script by 'Peaky Blinders' creator Steven Knight.

    Gyllenhaal will be seen playing a reporter while Cumberbatch will essay the role of his friend. The story revolves around the reporter who visits his friend living in Brazil, who in turn seeks his help in faking his death. The movie will be produced by Gyllenhaal and Cumberbatch’s banner Nine Stories Productions and Sunny March, respectively. They will produce the project along with Adam Ackland and Riva Marker.

    On the work front, Jake Gyllenhaal will be seen in 'Wildlife' which is directed by debutant Paul Dano, while Benedict Cumberbatch will be seen in The Weinstein Company's 'The Current War’. In 'The Current War’, the 40-year-old actor will be seen playing Thomas Edison. The movie will also star Nikola Tesla.
