Blake Lively To Play A MMA Fighter In 'Bruised'

Fans of Blake Lively get set ready to watch the actress performing action stunts in her next. The 29-year-old has been approached to play a MMA Fighter in her next movie 'Bruised'. The mixed martial arts action-drama is directed by Nick Cassavetes who has previously directed acclaimed movies like The Notebook and The Other Woman.

Blake will play the character Jackie, a single mother working two jobs and a disgraced MMA fighter. When the authorities intimidates her of taking away her son, she decides to get back to the cage again for the last time to fight for redemption and to give a life to her son she always wanted to. Thunder Road Pictures' Basil Iwanyk is collaborating with Linda Gottlieb and Guymon Casady of Management 360 to bankroll the flick.

Michelle Rosenfarb has penned down the script for the movie. The film will start rolling in September. The Accepted actress was last seen in the blockbuster ‘The Shallows’ which released last year and earned 119 million USD globally.
