The producers, distributors of Brad Pitt starrer Fury have decided to release their film in India post Diwali. The decision could be seen keeping a lot of factors in mind. Firstly, the distributors believe it is safe for a Hollywood film to open after the Diwali celebrations are over and more importantly to avoid a clash with SRK starrer Happy New Year.

Fury is a high profile prospect in waiting if viewed from a larger angle and India being a prominent market, the distributors perhaps don’t want to take any chances. An SRK release is of course like a feast for the audiences in India and therefore a clash could severely hamper the chances of Fury even if it has a superstar like Brad Pitt. Fury is an action drama based on a battlefield back in 1945. The film is written and directed by David Ayer. The original release date of the film in international market is October 17 but makers feel it is safer if they release it in India two weeks later.

The film is being distributed by PVR in India. When contacted, the COO of PVR Pictures in India Deepak Sharma said, "We are very confident of 'Fury' as a film. However, since the worldwide release is October 17 and that's peak family time in India given the festivities of Diwali, we took a conscious call to push the re-release. Also 'Happy New year' is coming out too which will definitely will be a priority watch for the audience as most people wish to during this period watch movies with their families." Well let’s hope the decision taken by them earns them better profits and revenues.
