Broadway to Oz is a dream come true: Hugh Jackman

Known all around the world for his portrayal of the clawed mutant Wolverine in several X-Men and Wolverine films, Australian actor Hugh Jackman will be seen in a concert show. Broadway to Oz will show Hugh’s journey as an actor and as his personal life. The stage show will tour five cities in Australia.

He said, "Broadway to Oz’ is a dream come true. This is the show I’ve always wanted to bring home". Hugh will be backed by 150 musicians and dancers as the concert shows a mixture of projects that Hugh has been associated with. It will also be a tribute to classic musicals. The focus will be on Hugh’s early days in Outback Australia.

Sunset Boulevard and Beauty and The Beast were the first projects that Hugh took up. He met his wife Deborra Lee Furness during Corelli, an Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s TV drama series. He was then part of Australian independent films Paperback Hero and Erskineville Kings. The Hollywood success like The Prestige, The Fountain, The X-Men franchise, Wolverine and Les Miserables then followed.
