    Bryan Cranston To Star In Trumbo

    The Jay Roach directorial Trumbo will have Bryan Cranston play a real life Hollywood screenplay writer Dalton Trumbo. Bryan is known for his role in AMC’s hit series Breaking Bad as Walter White. He was awarded a Tony for his portrayal of President Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) in the stage play All the Way.

    The movie will focus on the downfall of the screenplay writer and tell the story of how he struggled during the Cold War era. The Hollywood watchdog groups were trying to suppress the work of people who were involved with the Communist Party. Dalton was imprisoned for his ideals and beliefs.

    The cast for Trumbo will include Michael Stuhlbarg, Helen Mirren, Louis CK and Alan Tudyk. The film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will hit the screens in selected cities on November 6. Jay Roach is known for his films Meet the Parents, Austin Powers: International Man if Mystery and Meet the Fockers.
