Casey Affleck To Star In The Movie Adaptation Of This Critically Acclaimed Novel!

Hollywood actor and director Caleb Casey Mcguire Affleck-Boldt, popularly known as Casey Affleck is known to have starred in movies such as Manchester by the sea, Gone Baby Gone and Good Will Hunting. He is the younger brother of Ben Affleck, who is currently portraying the role of the caped crusader 'Batman'.

The Oscar winner has been roped in to star in the screen adaptation of the 1965 novel ‘Stoner’ authored by John William. The movie adaptation will be helmed by Joe Wright and bankrolled by Jason Blum under the banner of Blumhouse Productions. The movie will revolve around the story of William Stoner, a dirt-poor farmer turned academic.

The academic unexpectedly becomes an important hero, while the years pass during the first half of the 20^th century. Regarding the movie, the producer was quoted as saying, “Because the novel is so beautiful but not well-known, fans of 'Stoner' feel like they're in a secret club. I'm so excited that Casey, Joe and Andrew have come aboard to help expand this club's membership”.
