Community Cast Reuniting For Season 7 and a Movie?

After the end of six seasons, Community cast members are willing and hoping for season seven. Ken Jeong who plays Benjamin Chang on the hit comedy show told Variety, “If they had a seventh season, I would be begging to be on it”. Ken is currently   working on his upcoming show Dr. Ken.

Community was canceled after season five by NBC but picked up by Yahoo for season 6. “I can’t give Yahoo enough credit. That is the new age of television. NBC cancelled it and then Yahoo picks it up, and then we go to have the best year we’ve ever had since the early days of ‘Community.’ There is something to be said about Dan Harmon doing his thing on Yahoo and not being as restricted and can do episodes where he doesn’t have to clock in at 21 minutes”, Ken said.

Currently there is no ongoing discussion for season seven between Yahoo and Sony. However, a movie will quite possibly be made as the show has been teasing “six seasons and a movie” since the beginning. Ken mentioned co-star Joel McHale, who plays Jeffrey Winger, and said, “Joel, he’s the ring leader. He wants to do ‘Community’ more than anything else. I was just with him at the ESPYs last week, and all we did was talk about ‘Community.’ We’re like, ‘How do we get this thing going?’ We’re always talking. We’re all in touch all the time”.
