    Constantin Film Confirms Resident Evil Reboot In The Works

    The Resident Evil franchise started with its first installment which released in 2002 under the direction of Paul W. S. Anderson. The science fiction action horror film has till now released six installments of the franchise and there might be some more. Martin Moszkowicz, who is the chairman of Constantin Film which bankrolled all the installments of the series, attended the Cannes and said that Resident Evil reboot is on the cards.

    Martin confirmed at the 70th Cannes Film Festival that their German film production company is developing its reboot. Constantin Film acquired the rights to the Resident Evil franchise in January 1997. On the occasion, he said that there will be more Resident Evil movies.

    However, more details about the flick are unknown. Milla Jovovich, who played the protagonist of the film in all the installments, might play the role of Alice in the seventh installment of the science fiction franchise. The film series was loosely based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name by Capcom.
