    According to the sources, martial artist and actor Darren Shahlavi has passed away at the age of 42. The Mortal Kombat actor was reportedly found dead by his roommate from an apparent overdose. Although the Los Angeles Coroner is carrying out toxicology tests before determining the cause of death, the ripped actor had a history of drug and alcohol abuse.

    Shahlavi led a high-profile martial arts career, lending stunts to Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Watchmen, 300 and Sanctuary. He also held a guest role in The CW’s Arrow, where he worked alongside series star Stephen Amell. He recently finished filming Alone In The Dark with action star Jean-Claude Van Damme. Stephen Amell, star of CW’s ‘Arrow’ paid tribute to his friend and co-star. “He was a great dude & a patient, thoughtful partner,” he wrote on Twitter about the expert stuntman. He tweets: “RIP Darren Shahlavi. 1st guy I ever fought on Arrow. He was a great dude & a patient, thoughtful partner. Fight looked good because of him.”
