David Yates Set To Direct All 5 Fantastic Beasts Movies

The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that director David Yates will be at the helm of affairs for all 5 Fantastic Beasts films. David shared that he loves making films and though the long term commitment can be quite pressurising, he looks at it movie to movie. Just like the upcoming film, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, the screenplay for the rest of the parts will be written by J.K. Rowling herself.

Talking about the projects, David shared, “I love making films, and I’ve got a great team, all of whom are like family”. He also praised Rowling for her screenplay and said that the sequel, the screenplay for which has almost been completed by the author, “feels so different from this (first film). Much more haunting, like a dream. What she’s doing is really interesting; she’s not repeating herself”.

Rowling also spoke about the same and added, “We’ve set ourselves an ambitious story to tell in five movies, but it’s going to be challenging and exciting — all the things I like”. The sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ will be released on November 16, 2018 in Paris, France and England. On the other hand, the first of the five films will be released on November 18 in the U.S.
