Diego Luna Got Emotional After Reading A Fan’s Story

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ has been the talk of the town ever since its release on December 16. The movie has earned more than $800 million worldwide and has received a lot of appreciation from the hard core fans as well. It stars Diego Luna as Captain Andor who was a key player in the story. Recently, the actor shared that he got emotional after reading a fan’s story about the film on Tumblr.

The post was made by a girl who took her Mexican father to watch the movie. The girl and her father praised Diego for keeping his heavy Mexican accent in the film which was similar to the girl’s father’s accent. In the post, the girl stated that her dad was really happy because the actor proudly showed off his heritage.

Her dad then started telling her about other Mexican actors that he feels should be in American movies. The girl ended the post with “Representation matters”. Diego tweeted the post on his page and wrote, “I got emotional reading this! #RogueOneStarWars”.

Rogue One has been directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones as the lead. She is joined by Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and others, along with Diego.
