Doug Liman Might Direct Gambit?

The forthcoming flick Gambit has seen its share of ups and downs. Rupert Wyatt was initially supposed to direct the film but he had to leave due to creative differences. According to Deadline, now Doug Liman is being eyed to direct the movie.

Last month, when Rupert left the Gambit team as director, the reason given was a conflict in schedule but later, it was reported that the director’s creative vision for the film was not accepted by Fox. 21 Jump Street star Channing Tatum now wants Doug to direct the film. Doug is known for his films Edge of Tomorrow and The Bourne Identity.

Currently, no official announcement has been made whether the director has said yes to the project. What’s confirmed is that actor-producer Tatum will be playing the superhero Gambit alongside Lea Seydoux. The movie will be produced by Reid Carolin, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg and Tatum.
