    Dwayne to star in ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ remake


    Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson may lead in the remake of John Carpenter’s ‘Big Trouble in Little China’. His production house Seven Bucks Productions which also involves Dany and Hiram Garcia are planning to produce the said project. Johnson could be seen playing Jack Burton, an American trucker who gets involved in a battle with mysterious underworld beneath Chinatown.


    The original movie featured Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall in pivotal roles. The flick grossed only $11 million at the box office, but managed to win hearts of the audience over the years. Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who wrote the screenplay of ‘Thor’, have been confirmed to write the script of the film. The duo is currently working on ‘Acme’ by Warner Bros.


    Johnson starrer ‘San Andreas’ is currently breaking records of both domestic and international box office. He will be seen on HBO’s new series ‘Ballers’ as a retired athlete later this month. He is also recording his voice for Disney’s animated movie ‘Moana’.
