Eddie Redmayne Auditioned For Kylo Ren In The Force Awakens

Last year’s ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ starred Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, the lead antagonist in the film. He was quite appreciated for his performance and will be returning in the next part of the franchise. Recently, The Danish Girl actor Eddie Redmayne revealed that he auditioned for the part as well.

According to reports, the actor did quite poorly in the audition. “They gave me like a Star Trek scene - or like something from 'Pride and Prejudice'. It was one of those films. With films that top secret, they don't give you the actual lines. So they give you a scene from Pride and Prejudice, but then they tell you you're auditioning for the baddie. If you're me, you then put some ridiculous voice on”, Eddie shared. While it might be quite hard to imagine someone else as Kylo Ren, what do you think about Eddie playing the role?

Though The Theory of Everything actor could not be a part of one epic franchise but, he sure made his way into another epic sci-fi series, the Harry Potter wizarding world. He will soon be seen playing the lead in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. The movie will be released on November 18.
