Emory Cohen roped in for The Gambler’s remake

The Place Beyond the Pines fame Emory Cohen has been roped in by filmmaker Rupert Wyatt to act in the remake of The Gambler. The actor has so far worked in movies like Afterschool, New York, I Love You, The Hungry Ghosts and Four. Emroy is now a part of the cast that also has Mark Wahlberg. Nothing has been revealed about Cohen’s role in the movie.

Paramount Pictures is developing the remake of the 1974 hit. The original was directed by Karel Reisz. It featured James Caan, Lauren Hutton and Paul Sorvino in the lead. The flick was inspired from a novel of the same name, penned by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. And, for his performance in the film, Caan was nominated for a Golden Globe in that calendar year. Let’s see how the remake goes.
