Ericson Core Will Direct Damien Chazelle's Thriller 'The Claim'

Damien Chazelle had written a thriller for which he had been hunting a director. Now, finally, he has found the right person and its none other than ‘Point Break’ helmer Ericson Core. The movie focuses on a single father who is forced to rescue his daughter from the clutches of another couple claiming to be the parents of the girl.

Damien is known for his work in the films ‘La La Land’ and ‘Whiplash’ where he played the role of both writer and director. The project is being produced by Russell Levine, Scott Clayton, Chip Diggins and Jay Stern. The production is expected to commence by the end of this year.

Damien’s latest venture, ‘La La Land’ starred Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The musical hit theatres on December 25 last year and went on to win several awards. It was also part of the Oscar fiasco where the announcer named ‘La La Land’ as best picture, instead of the actual winner ‘Moonlight’.
