    The Expendables 3 to hit Indian theatres on Independence Day

    Sylvester Stallone starrer The Expendables 3 has been scheduled to open at Indian cinemas on August 15, Independence Day. The Hollywood action flick, also starring Arnold Schwarznegger, Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford, will clash with the Bollywood action film Singham Returns.

    Stallone has gone through a successful journey so far with his Expendables franchise while Ajay Devgan’s first instalment of Singham was also a huge blockbuster in the Indian market. The Expendables 3 will be distributed by MVP Entertainment and PVR Pictures in India. The second part of the series had a huge opening in 2012 grossing over Rs. 11 crore from 800 screens. The third film will have a broader release in four languages also including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Deepak Sharma of PVR Pictures and Sunil Udhani of MVP Entertainment said in a joint statement, "Stallone and Schwarzenegger have humongous fan following in India and the genre of the film suits the appetite of people here. We will be dubbing the film in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and are even hoping for a wider release this time around.”
