Fast & Furious 6 achieves $500 million milestone overseas

This is time for Universal Pictures to break its previous box-office records. For the first time in the studio’s history, Fast & Furious 6 has made it to $500 million mark at the international box-office in the fastest way possible.

Wednesday was the lucky day for the film as well as the studio. Till date, the domestic earning of Fast and Furious 6 has been estimated as $180.3 million while overseas it is $342.2 million. For the last couple of weeks it has been the frontrunner at the domestic box-office.

Post the sixth installment’s success, the studio is planning a seventh one to be directed by James Wan, replacing Justin Lin. Most of the main cast members will revisit the seventh installment, as expected. It will undergo production next month and will go on floors on July 11.
