Filmmaker Rian Johnson Reveals Upcoming 'Star Wars Trilogy' After The Release Of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

Awesome news for Star War fans! As the release date of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is nearing, there is another big thing coming from the makers of the movie. Hollywood director Rian Johnson, who has helmed and penned the upcoming movie, has made great revelations.

Rian stated that ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will be a catalyst to the beginning of a new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy series. Johnson was quoted as saying, “I‘m just in the very beginning phases of coming up with it so right now the sky is kind of the limit”.

The director further added, “The appeal of it to me is to do a new story told over three movies, to have that kind of canvas, to be in the Star Wars world and to have the feel of a Star Wars film”. It has also been revealed storyline in the upcoming movies will not be a continuation to the 1977 movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope”.
