George Lucas finally tied the knot with Mellody Hobson

Star Wars maker George Lucas and President of Ariel Investments Mellody Hobson exchanged vows over the weekend at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California. The couple was dating each other since 2006 and they took their relationship to the next level. Hobson (44) and Lucas (69) got engaged in January earlier this year.

Earlier in an interview Hobson shared the secret of her ever lasting relationship with Lucas, “I think it works because we are extraordinarily open-minded people and we're open to what the universe brings us," she said. "I think we didn't have preconceived ideas about what a partnership should be and so we allowed ourselves to discover something that was unexpected.”

Samuel L. Jackson, who has worked under Lucas’s direction in Star Wars tweeted, “Let's give a Galactic shout out to Master George Lucas & his Bride Melodie on this their wedding day. Congrats!”
