Gina Carano Joins Kickboxer

Gina Carano, star of Haywire and the Fast And Furious franchise, has been added to the Kickboxer remake cast. The 32-year-old former mixed martial artist is to play a fight promoter in the new film, which will also feature Jean-Claude Van Damme, wrestler Dave Bautista and Georges St. Pierre, who starred in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

Kickboxer follows Kurt Sloane (Moussi), a talented martial artist who travels to Thailand, where he must learn the secrets of the kickboxer to avenge his brother’s death at the hands of Tong Po (Bautista). Carano will play a fight promoter. This isn't her first John Stockwell movie; in 2013 she starred in the movie "In the Blood." In the movie "In the Blood," she played a wife that tries to find her abducted husband. She also has been in the movies "Haywire," Fast and the Furious 6," and "Blood and Bone." So she's the newest addition to be in the remake of "Kickboxer."
