    Yesterday, January 10, marked the 73rd Annual Golden Globes award show. Hosted once again by Ricky Gervais, the award show was broadcasted live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event was dominated by Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s The Revenant and Ridley Scott’s The Martian.

    The Best Motion Picture in Drama was given to The Revenant and Leonardo DiCaprio was awarded the Best Actor. Brie Larson won the Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture – Drama for Room. The Best Motion Picture in the Musical Or Comedy genre was awarded to The Martain. In the same genre, the Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture was given to Jennifer Lawrence for Joy and the Best Performance By An Actor In A Motion Picture was claimed by Matt Damon for The Martian.

    Pixar and Walt Disney Studio’s Inside Out won the award for Best Motion Picture in the Animated category. Son Of Saul won the award for Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language. The Best Performance in a Supporting Role was given to Kate Winslet for her role in Steve Jobs. Sylvester Stallone won the male counterpart of the award for the movie Creed.

    Alejandro G. Iñárritu was the Best Director for The Revenant. Aaron Sorkin was awarded the Best Screenplay award for Steve Jobs. Ennio Morricone was given the Best Original Score award for The Hateful Eight. The track from Spectre, Writing’s On The Wall was awarded the Best Original Song. Universal Cable Productions’ Mr. Robot was Best Television Series in the Drama category. The Best Actor and Actress in a Television Series was awarded to Jon Hamm for Mad Men and Taraji P. Henson for Empire.

    In the Musical or Comedy category, the Best Television Series was Mozart In The Jungle. In the same category, the Best Performance By An Actress and Best Performance By An Actor was claimed by Rachel Bloom for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Gael García Bernal for Mozart In The Jungle. Wolf Hall won the Best Television Limited Series award and in this category, the Best Actress was Lady Gaga for American Horror Story: Hotel and Oscar Isaac for the male counterpart.

    The Best Performance By An Actress and Actress In A Supporting role for a Limited Series was nabbed by Maura Tierney for The Affair and Christian Slater for Mr. Robot. Ricky Gervais, being a stand-up comedian, kept the crowed entertained throughout the event.
