Guillermo del Toro On Maisie Williams: if PR2 happens, that girl is getting a Jaeger

Guillermo del Toro, the Pacific Rim director recently had lunch with Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams and stated that if the sequel to the 2013 film happens, then she will be in it. The young English actress is known for playing Arya Stark in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. She will also be seen in 2 episodes of Doctor Who season 9.

Universal Studios and Legendary confirmed earlier this week that the sequel has been delayed. It was initially planned for a release on April 7, 2017. After being postponed to August 4, 2017, the movie’s release has been removed from the calendar.

According to Universal, the movie was delayed so that the, “creative team can continue in its efforts to exceed the amazing experience of the first film”. They added that they were, “committed to having Pacific Rim 2”. The original Pacific Rim grossed over $400 million worldwide.
