Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, has said that Ford returned to the sets of the film with ‘a fire in his eyes’ post injury. Harrison Ford, who will be seen reprising his role as Han Solo, injured his leg during filming. It was later discovered that the 72-year-old actor fractured a bone in his right leg and was sidelined for months.

Speaking about the Ford’s injury and his comeback post his broken leg the director said, "In a weird way, it was the greatest gift to the movie. Once it was clear Harrison would be okay, the way that the crew came together”, he told Vanity Fair magazine. "I've never seen a crew bonded like that. And when Harrison came back, when I say he came back better and stronger than ever, I can't overstate that. There was a fire in his eyes that you see in the movie", he added.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will see Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill making a return to the franchise. The movie also features a number of newcomers, which includes John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac to name a few. The movie, which is slated for release on December 18, has a production budget of $200 million.
