    Here’s What David Hasselhoff Has To Say About ‘Baywatch’

    The much awaited movie ‘Baywatch’, which is based on a popular TV series by the same name is all set to release on May 25, 2017 in the United States. The film which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Ilfenesh Hadera and Priyanka Chopra was premiered at Miami this weekend. However, David Hasselhoff who played Mitch Buchannon in the show found the flick funny.

    Hasselhoff who will also be seen in a cameo in the film said that he was against the idea of turning a drama into a movie. While walking the red carpet he said that though the makers have turned the drama into a film but they will not be able recreate his character. "It's funny, it's pushing the envelope, but it's not 'Baywatch' - and I said that with a great amount of respect but a great amount of work that I put into 'Baywatch'," said the 64-year-old actor. He added, "I saw the movie and I said, 'This is gonna make a lot of money - but it's still not 'Baywatch'. You can't recreate David Hasselhoff."

    While he might not support the idea of turning the TV series into a film, Pamela Anderson, who essayed the role of CJ Parker, in the show flew to Miami to support the film. Hasselhoff’s role in the movie will be played by Dwayne. Kelly Rohrbach and Efron will play CJ Parker and Matt Brody respectively. In the show Matt Brody was played by David Charvet.
