    It’s mid-November when the much-awaited sequel to The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will open in the U.S. theatres, but its huge expectations among its audiences have already created ripples at the booking counters. Ticket sales are burning up with every passing moment after beginning just one day ago.

    On Tuesday 70 percent sales has been recorded, according to Fandango. The Jennifer Lawrence-Josh Hutcherson-Liam Hemsworth starrer is all set to break the previous records of Fandango. According to Movietickets.com, Catching Fire represents 54 percent of all tickets sold on Tuesday. Francis Lawrence-directed Catching Fire, based on Suzanne Collins' popular young adult novel with the same name in The Hunger Games trilogy, the story follows after Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta (Hutcherson) are forced to return to the dangerous Hunger Games while they deal with the growing unrest in the districts. The third and fourth installments in the franchise, Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2, will release on November 21, 2014, and November 20, 2015, respectively. The first film in the saga grossed $690 million worldwide. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will hit the theatres on November 22.
