‘I'm faking it when I'm acting’: Blake Lively

Blake Lively says that she feels more confident while cooking for her family than acting in films. "I always feel like I'm faking it when I'm acting. I do the best I can do to tell the story in the best way, but I always feel really lucky when I get a job".

The 27-year-old actress is best known for essaying the role of Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. In 2012, she married actor Ryan Reynolds and gave birth to their first child in December last year. "I feel confident when I'm cooking or decorating. It's something I control beginning, middle and end. That ownership feels good", she added.

Lively, who took time off from acting after marriage said, “I was just tired. You work 10 months a year, 16-18 hour days. I took the time off for practical reasons”. The actress, who is currently working on The Age of Adaline, said she knew it in an instant that the film was well suited for her comeback after reading the script. “I don’t believe magic exists much in films these days unless it’s a superhero movie or it has wands. Magic in a quiet film is very rare”, she added.
