Iron Man 3 emerges as highest grosser of 2013 with $1.21 billion

Cheers to Iron Man 3 team as they have remained undefeated throughout the year in terms of box-office numbers and is ending the year with the label of highest grossing film of 2013. The Robert Downey Jr. starrer superhero adventure flick is a grosser of a massive total of $1,215,439,994 at the global box office.

Iron Man 3 is followed by Despicable Me 2 which collected a total of $918,573,535. Jennifer Lawrence star power driven franchise The Hunger Games made big money with its sequel taking the third spot with $795,124,000. Late Paul Walker starrer Fast and Furious 7 has taken the fourth spot with $788,679,850. The sequel of the The Hobbit is expected to make close to a billion dollars and land up somewhere near the top 3 as it closes its box office run.
