Jason Statham, Mark Strong fight it out for Ben-Hur remake

It has been reported that a battle is on between Jason Statham and Mark Strong for a role in the upcoming remake of Ben-Hur. Further revelations say that it’s getting tough to take the final call between Statham and Strong for the project which is a joint collaboration between MGM and Paramount Pictures.

Other actors have also shortlisted for the film including Colin Farrell, Russell Crowe and Matthew McConaughey. An insider from the production unit said that chances for Statham and Strong are bright because of their appearances which are exactly matching the character’s requirements. Acting skills of both the actors are not to be questioned, anyhow. 55 years ago this biblical epic bagged 11 Oscars and it was also the most expensive film at that point of time.
