Jennifer Aniston To Star In De Niro’s Passion Project: The Comedian

Cake star Jennifer Aniston will team up with Robert De Niro in The Comedian. The movie is a longtime passion project of the veteran actor. The film is said to be directed by Taylor Hackford.  

According to the Sun online, the two stars will team up for the comedy drama next year in New York with the producers of the 46-year-old’s 2014 movie, Cake. The script has been written by Art Linson with comic Jeffrey Ross.

In The Comedian, Jennifer Aniston will play the love interest of De Niro. The 72-year-old will play a toxic insult comic, who meets Aniston at a wedding and the two develop a close relationship. The reports suggest that the movie will be the second for Robert, behind the stand-up microphone, first being The King Of Comedy in 1982.

The Good Girl star has been shooting for The Yellow Birds and Mother’s Day. She is also working as a sales representative for CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Group.
