Canadian American actor Jim Carrey has refused to promote his upcoming superhero film Kick-Ass 2. You certainly may be moved by the reason given by the 51-year-old for the same, who said that he is leaving the promotion campaign because of the concern with the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre which hit in Newtown, Connecticut.

The mishap that happened last December took away the lives of 20 children including six adults. The star tweeted on Sunday, “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence”. He continued his statement saying, “I meant to say my apologies to others involve with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart”.
