It seems that the stardom of Hollywood star Johnny Depp has not ended yet. The actor met actress Amber Heard on the sets of movie The Rum Diary in 2011 and soon got hitched with her. In May 2016, Heard accused Depp of being abusive throughout their four-year relationship and filed for a divorce.

Now , after the divorce there were rumours that the makers of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ will not cast Depp for their future movies. Denying these rumours and defending Depp, novelist J.K Rowling, posted a statement on her website which read as, “Harry Potter fans had legitimate questions and concerns about our choice to continue with Johnny Depp in the role. As David Yates, long-time Potter director, has already said, we naturally considered the possibility of recasting. I understand why some have been confused and angry about why that didn’t happen”.

Her statement further read as, “Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies”. The director of the movie, David Yates also defended Johnny Depp. He was quoted as saying, “Whatever accusation was out there doesn't tally with the kind of human being I’ve been working with”.
