    Keira Knightley may join Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game

    The Imitation Game, an Indie drama based on the book Alan Turing: The Enigma, will star Benedict Cumberbatch and to develop the cast more, it may get Keira Knightley soon.

    THR has confirmed the reports that Keira Knightley has been in negotiations with The Imitation Game makers for a role. The film adaptation by Black Bear Pictures will be directed by Morten Tyldum and Cumberbatch will play the role of Turing in the film. As per the book, Turing is a mathematician and cryptographer, who used his brain in cracking the German’s mystery code machine during the final years of World War II. It led to the victory of the allies. But the government later accused him for his homosexuality and led to his alleged suicide.

    If the deal is final Knightley will play a woman character who hails from a conformist background and gets engaged with Turing in a complicated relationship. The woman in question, stands beside Turing till his life ends. The movie will be produced by Teddy Schwarzman along with Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky of Ampersand Pictures. The film will be produced within a budget of around $15 million. Knightley was last seen in Anna Karenina and will be seen next in Jack Ryan opposite Chris Pine.
