Known as the voice of Po, the fluffy, silly panda from the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Jack Black recently opened up about his past. The actor stated that his parents’ divorce was quite hard on him and he turned to drugs. According to Aceshowbiz, the 46-year-old actor got addicted to cocaine, four years after his parents got divorced.

Jack revealed, “I remember just lots of turmoil from that time period. I was having a lot of troubles with cocaine... I was hanging out with some pretty rough characters. I was scared to go to school (because) one of them wanted to kill me. I wanted to get out of there”.

The School of Rock actor added that he felt quite relieved after confessing everything to the school therapist. He said, “I spilled my guts, telling him I felt guilty about stealing from my mom to get money for cocaine. I cried like a baby. It was a huge release and a huge relief. I left feeling euphoric, like an enormous weight had been lifted from me. It changed me”. Jack will soon be seen in the upcoming flick Goosebumps.
