Lady Gaga Bags First Hollywood Lead Role

Singer-songwriter Lady Gaga has bagged her first lead role in a Hollywood flick which is the remake of ‘A Star is Born’. She will be paired alongside American Sniper actor Bradley Cooper. Gaga will also compose and perform new songs for the musical drama.

Though this will be the first time Gaga leads a project, she has been part of previous Hollywood ventures like Robert Rodriguez’s movies ‘Machete Kills’ and ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’. She was also recently present on the fifth season of the FX series American Horror Story. On the other hand, Bradley is an established personality in Hollywood and is known for his roles in films like The Hangover series, ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and several others.

The original film came out in 1937 and since then, has been remade twice. The first remake came out in 1954 and was directed by George Cukor. The second remake was released in 1976 starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
