    Luc Besson is set to direct the sci-fi thriller Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, reported by TheHollywoodReporter. The movie is the big screen adaptation of the French sci-fi comic book series Valerian and Laureline. Besson announced the news with his first tweet, My first tweet ever! Let’s share a real news! My next film is a big sci-fi: #Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

    Cara Delevinge and Dane Dehaan will be seen in the leading roles in the film. DeHaan will be essaying the role of a space and time-travelling agent from the future. While Delevingne, will be seen as Dehaan’s associate in the film.

    The movie will be produced by Lucy director’s wife, Virginie Besson Silla, under her banner Besson’s EuropaCorp. The comic book, which was first published in 1967, has sold more than 10 million copies. The comic book was written by Pierre Christin and illustrated by Jean Claude Mezieres.
