Luke Bracey steps into the shoes of late Paul Walker in The Best of Me

Australian actor Luke Bracey of fame G.I. Joe: Retaliation has joined the cast of Michael Hoffman’s directorial The Best of Me. Late Paul Walker was earlier signed for the role of Dawson but after his death, director and producers were thinking of his replacement. Other cast already signed is James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, and Liana Liberato.

The Best of Me is the story of a former high school couple, who reunite in the funeral ceremony of their friend and decide to relive their relationship. The movie is based on 2011 published novel by Nicholas Sparks with same name. Screenplay for the same is given by J. Mills Goodloe, while Will Fetters and Michael Hoffman have worked on the script of the film. Denise Di Novi, Ryan Kavanaugh, D. Scott Lumpkin, Theresa Park and Nicholas Sparks will co-produce the venture. Luke is featuring in one more movie titled November Man.
