Madagascar 3 to premiere at 65th Cannes Film Festival

Animated film Madagascar 3 will have its world premiere at the 65th Cannes Film Festival this year in May. The Paramount and DreamWorks Animation film will release in the US on June 8. The festival opener is Moonrise Kingdom, reported Variety magazine. Previously, hits like Shrek (2000), Shrek 2 (a 2004 competition title), Over the Hedge (2006) and Kung Fu Panda (2008) were premiered at the film festival. Italian film director Nanni Moretti will be the President of the Jury.
