    Mark Hamill Clarifies Star Wars Episode 8 "Out of Work" Tweet

    Mark Hamill has taken to social media to clarify the Star Wars speculations following his out of work comment during a charity event. On Twitter, he clarified that he would not have any work for some time as Star Wars Episode VIII will wrap up soon.

    "I meant 'out of work' because #Ep8 is wrapping soon, OK?" #DontOverThinkEVERYTHING #ParsingHamill #WaitForVIII," the actor wrote on Twitter Monday to clear the air. According to The Wrap, speculation arose that Skywalker might die in the latest Star Wars installment after he mentioned at The Big Issue event in London, "I finish Episode VIII and then I'm out of work."

    Rian Johnson is directing Episode 8, while Colin Treverrow is helming Episode 9. Also returning are John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Dohmnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Andy Serkis, along with franchise newcomers Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran. Star Wars: Episode 8 opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
