    Matt Bomer joins cast of Magnificent Seven

    Matt Bomer has joined the cast of Magnificent Seven. The movie will be helmed by Antoine Fuqua and also features Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio. The film is set to go under production by the end of the month.

    The Magnificent Seven is being produced by Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black along with Walter Mirisch and Antoine Fuqua. The movie has been written by John Lee Hancock and Nick Pizzolatto. Bomer will be seen essaying the role of a man who stands up against a band of robbers.

    The movie is the remake of the ‘60s film of the same name. The original film was helmed by John Sturges and featured Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach and Steve McQueen in the lead roles. The flick focused upon a group of gunfighters who are hired to protect a village from a group of bandits. Bomer received much acclaim and a Golden Globe for his performance in HBO’s The Normal Heart. The 37-year-old will also be seen in American Horror Story: Hotel, which also stars Lady Gaga. He also has Magic Mike XXL slated for release on July 1 and Shane Black’s The Nice Guys in post-production.
