Childhood friends Mat Damon and Ben Affleck are coming together again for a movie on the astonishing FIFA scandal. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick will be based on the unpublished book by Ken Bensinger titled ‘Houses of Deceit’. The book shines light on the involvement of FIFA executive Chuck Blazer, in the scandal.

The U.S. Department of Justice revealed that nine FIFA officials were charged with 47 counts of racketeering charges, fraud, money laundering, and bribery. Bensinger, who is an investigative reporter for BuzzFeed, wrote ‘Mr. Ten Percent: The Man Who Built – And Bilked – American Soccer’, an article that uncovered incriminating information about Blazer and how he accepted bribes along with other FIFA officials. 70-year-old Chuck Blazer was found guilty of 10 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, racketeering, and income tax evasion.

Houses of Deceit will stay unpublished till 2017. The cinematic adaptation will be produced by Pearl Street Films, which is company found by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Guymon Casady and Darin Friedman from Entertainment 360 will also be part of the production team.
