    Matthew McConaughey Had Fun Playing Negative Role In The Dark Tower

    Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey starrer 'The Dark Tower' had its premiere in New York as it approaches its release date of August 4. Based on the novel series by Stephen King, 'The Dark Tower' follows Gunslinger Roland Deschain, played by Idris. Matthew plays the villainous role of the Man in Black. Recently, Matthew spoke about playing a negative role and said that it he enjoyed it.

    “Bad guys are real fun to play because they are limitless. They don’t pander. They’re not trying to make friends. They’re not trying to have their manners and graces”, McConaughey shared. The flick has been directed by Nikolaj Arcel who spoke about the author and his involvement in the project. “He was very involved and had a lot of ideas. He never dictated anything, but he always had good opinions”, he stated.

    Stephen has written eight books in the novel series and the movie will be a mix between an adaptation and sequel. Nikolaj has directed films like ‘Truth About Men’, ‘King's Game’ and ‘A Royal Affair’. McConaughey was last seen in ‘Gold’ while Idris was last seen in ‘Star Trek Beyond’.
