After her many people accused Hollywood actress Mayim Bialik of victim-blaming on her Twitter account, the actress has recently cleared her stance. She said, “I’m being told my N.Y. Times piece resonated with so many and I am beyond grateful for all of the feedback. I also see a bunch of people have taken my words out of the context of the Hollywood machine and twisted them to imply that I would blame a woman for her assault based on her clothing or behaviour.

The actress further went on saying that anyone who knows her and her feminism knows that’s absurd and that her op-ed was not at all about disgrace the victims. She wrote, “It’s so sad how vicious people are being when I basically live to make things better for women. I am doing a Facebook live with the N.Y. Times Monday morning”.

According to the reports her comment on, “Being a Feminist in Harvey Weinstein’s World” meant that she dresses modestly and does not “act flirtatiously with men as a policy”. The actress further wrote that not representing the impossible standard of beauty has made Harvey overlook her, which kept her safe from him.
