Marvel Studio took the stage at Comic-Con in San Diego announcing about 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', the sequel Ant-Man, which released in 2015. The studio has approached Michelle Pfeiffe to essay the role Janet Van Dyn, the superhero mother of Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne and wife of Hank Pym/Ant-Man. The role of Ant-Man was originally played by Michael Douglas.

Apart from Janet, the movie will also star Walton Goggins, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Pena. Laurence Fishburne will play the role of Bill Foster, the comic book hero Giant Man. Peyton Reed, who oversaw the first film, will helm the project.  The flick is expected to hit the theatres in July 6 next year.

The 59-year-old star will next be seen in Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Mother!’ alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem. Apart from this, she is also a part of stellar cast of Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, an Agatha Christie adaptation. The movie also features Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Penelope Cruz, and Judi Dench.
