Miles Teller Might Join Upcoming Survival Film Adrift

STX Entertainment is currently in the process of developing its survival flick titled ‘Adrift’ starring Shailene Woodley. Now, THR has brought word that the studio is in talks with Whiplash actor Miles Teller for a major role in the film. Adrift is based on the true story of a woman who sets off on a sailing trip to Tahiti and finds herself alone at sea after a massive storm.

Shailene will be playing the leading female role while Miles is in talks to play her husband. Baltasar Kormakur is set to direct the project with script by Aaron and Jordan Kandell. It is expected that the shooting for the film will commence this summer.

This won’t be the first time Miles and Shailene team up as they have previously worked together in all three Divergent films as well as The Spectacular Now. The Fantastic Four actor has a few projects lined up which include the true-life fire fighting story ‘Granite Mountain’ and the PTSD film ‘Thank You for Your Service’.
