Miranda Otto, John Corbett Roped In For ‘The Silence'
Lord of the Rings actress Miranda Otto and My Big Fat Greek Wedding actor John Corbett has been roped in for the upcoming film ‘The Silence'. The duo will be joining Kiernan Shipka and Stanley Tucci who were previously brought on board. The movie is being directed by John Leonetti.
The flick is based on the novel by Tim Lebbon and the screenplay has been written by Carey and Shane Van Dyke. It focuses on a deaf teenager named Ally, who is forced to use her heightened senses as her strength and fight a colony of bats that have morphed into a new lethal species. Ally and her family learn that humans can be just as dangerous while they try to seek refuge in the woods.
‘The Silence' is being produced by Scott Lambert, Robert Kulzer and Alexandra Milchan. Director John Leonetti is known for his hit horror flick ‘Annabelle’, which came out in 2014. His last film, ‘Wish Upon’, came out in July and was also a supernatural horror flick.
