'My Husband Likes It Best When I Wear A Pair Of Spectacles', Says Cate Blanchett

Australian actress and theatre director Cate Blanchett recently revealed that her husband and playwright-screenwriter-director Andrew Upton likes when the Song to Song actress wears a pair of spectacles. The actress, who will next be seen in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, an upcoming American superhero film, revealed that her husband is more fond of her studious look than any other look. The two have been married for nearly 20 years from now.

“My husband likes it best when I wear a cardigan, a tweed skirt and a pair of spectacles. I would dress like a high school librarian if he had his way. He's old-fashioned in that way”, Blanchett revealed. She added, “I wear what I like, and I don't dress for anyone's approval. I'm sure there have been some doozies of choices that people have or haven't liked”.

Blanchett and Upton are parents to four children: Dashiell John, Roman Robert, Ignatius Martin and Edith Vivian Patricia. On a related note, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is slated for release on November 3. The film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Mark Ruffalo, Karl Urban, and Anthony Hopkins.
