Naomi Ellen Watts joins Insurgent team

Film producer and actress Naomi Ellen Watts would soon be seen in Insurgent which is apparently the sequel of Divergent. Divergent and Insurgent, both the movies are based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. Divergent is an action film directed by Neil Burger. It starred Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Tony Goldwyn, Maggie Q and Kate Winslet in crucial roles.

Insurgent is thus, the second episode of the series. Robert Schwentke would be directing the movie. The cast would be the same as Divergent. However, Watts is the new addition to it. The actress will soon head to the Atlanta and will join the film’s unit there. She has reportedly scored the role of Evelyn, leader of the Factionless. Apart from Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer has also joined the cast recently. She would be seen as Johanna, the new leader of the Amity Faction. The movie is expected to hit theatres on March 20, next year.
