Naomi Watts impressed with Vivek Oberoi?

An input that will surely makedesistar Vivek Oberoi happy is that Hollywood actress Naomi Watts is impressed with his work. However, its not the actor’s acting skill which made Naomi his fan but she admires his social work that he does off screen, especially the relief works done by him in 2004 for tsunami victims of Thevanapattinam in Tamil Nadu. The Hollywood star also wrote a letter of praise to him. A source said that the actress, who is essaying the role of a tsunami victim in her upcoming film,The Impossible, “came close to realising the unimaginable grief and pain the families must have gone through in December 2004 when the Tsunami hit their shores”.

The star said, “I can only imagine how tough it must have been for people like Maria Belon (on whom the film is based), who actually survived the devastation, to move forward”. In the letter to Vivek, Watts wrote, “It takes a lot of courage and immense devotion to be able to take up such a responsibility on one’s shoulders... As a celebrity it is important for us to realise that we can act as catalysts for change but unfortunately few take any real measures. Your effort to bridge this gap deserves appreciation from all quarters. I salute you on behalf of the entire team of The Impossible for adopting Thevanapattinam and providing relief work to the Tsunami victims.”
